The concept for Around the World in a Single Stroke begins with the Enso, an ancient Zen symbol representing openness, creativity, elegance, the void, the Universe, and a harmony of body and mind.

12 honorees participated. Each saw something unique in the ENSO. Each brought their own perspective from years of mastering their own disciplines—and creative worlds—technology, music, sports, oenology, fashion, cuisine, theatre, art, academia, and finance.

The Enso is a bridge between cultures criss-crossing boundaries and time zones.
